The location was convenient for Beppu, next to Hyotan Onsen and Umi/Oni Jigoku, and the bus station as well as jigoku attractions. The most attentive staff I ever met.

The hotel is perfectly located next to Hyotan Onsen and Umi/Oni Jigoku, as well as the old park in town, which was just what we were looking for. It's also super convenient to explore the famous 'Hells Of Beppu' from here! 👍

The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. the dinner and breakfast provided were delicious feasts. the location, although a little hard to find, was near the jigoku or hells of Beppu. the ryokan had a unique feature of manholes with steam coming up, making for great photo opportunities. Sleeping on the comfortable futons with a thin mattress underneath added to the traditional Japanese experience. the onsen facilities were excellent, with an indoor onsen available without reservation and two family baths that required reservation. the hot spring water in the family baths was perfect for relaxing after a long day.
Nothing, all was good. 👍

We had a fabulous stay at a lovely onsen hotel in a charming area. The room was perfect and the private onsen was good. The breakfast and dinner were awesome, especially the fresh and delicious crab cooked by the onsen. The location was convenient, close to bus stations and attractions. Despite some minor drawbacks like limited wifi and payment options, we still highly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast selection was excellent, with a variety of traditional Japanese dishes and an abundance of seafood. The private onsen was enjoyable, offering a hot and relaxing experience. The room, although simple, was well-maintained and provided a decent view of the beautiful Kannawa area. The option to choose a new yukata each day added a special touch to the stay. The location was convenient, within walking distance of popular onsen spots and attractions.
Nothing to fault.

This place was absolutely mind-blowing! The public bath and family bath with a kimono to wear were super cool and included in the stay. The nearby restaurant with hot water to soak our feet in while eating was jaw-dropping! The traditional Japanese breakfast with lots of seafood was so deliciously presented. The private onsen was incredibly hot but so good. Our tatami room on the top floor had a decent view of the rising steam, and my partner got to choose a beautiful new yukata every day. It was super convenient to walk to Hyotan Onsen and Umi/Oni Jigoku, and we loved the onsen-steamed cake at Sally's Garden nearby. Having the hotel all to ourselves was a bonus, and the staff were friendly and super helpful. We felt right at home in this clean and cozy place. Highly recommend this amazing hotel to everyone!

Great food and close location
During our Easter stay, we were blown away by the delicious and fresh food at this ryokan. The variety of sashimi and local cuisine were both outstanding, and the breakfast was also a highlight. we loved the hotel's location, which was conveniently situated close to the bus station and the jigoku attractions. One more aspect that we enjoyed was the private family bath, even though we were disappointed that we could only book one of them.
Although we enjoyed our stay, there were a few negative aspects to note. Our family room was smaller than expected, and there was limited space to move around and store luggage.

The hotel was conveniently located near a bus terminal and the thermal area of the city. It was difficult to reach by public transport, but the area around the train station was too commercial. the room was spacious and clean, with staff preparing the bed before dinner. the meals were tasty, with fresh crab cooked in the onsen.
The hotel needs to improve its facilities, as the private outdoor hot spring was too hot and had a slippery and dark floor. the signs to the hot spring should also be written in English.

Location was also convenient, being close to a supermarket and a 7-11 with an ATM.
The lack of wifi in the rooms was inconvenient, and the fact that only cash was accepted for payment was a minor hassle. the futons provided were on the thinner side, but staff were helpful and would likely provide extra bedding upon request.

We absolutely loved our stay at this ryokan! The location was convenient and close to the bus station and nearby attractions. The communal and private onsen were perfect for relaxing. The highlight was definitely the jigoku mushi steam kitchen, where we could cook our own meals. It added a unique and fun element to our stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, and the warm-hearted service made our experience even better. a wonderful stay with great facilities and amenities for adults like us.
We felt right at home at this ryokan and had no complaints whatsoever. It felt like a miracle to find such a perfect place to stay.
